Another weekend of English Premier League action is upon us. Liverpool briefly slipped out of the top of the table after a draw against Swansea City and a loss to Southampton. Add in the loss to Manchester United in a Capital One Cup and it was a rough week for the Reds. They beat Sunderland and climbed back to second in the table.
Manchester United has continued to slip and they now find themselves sitting 1881 in the bottom half of the table. United was blown out in the derby by Manchester City and then United was upset at home by West Bromwich Albion. They’re looking to get back on track with three points on the road against Sunderland, who currently sit in last place.
The marquee match of the weekend is definitely the first game, Manchester City hosting Everton. Currently, Manchester City sits outside one of the coveted top 4 of the table, the top 4 teams get a chance to play in the prestigious Champions League 1881 tournament. Everton sits in fourth place and City could leap-frog them with a win.
